Earlier this year, synth pop singer-producer Glass Battles (also known as Sean Augustine) was hailed as "everything a '90s punk kid could ever want" by V Magazine. Billboard described his sound as "darkly alluring synth-goth" when premiering his self-directed, Nintendo-inspired music video for "Septilizine."
Glass Battles is a DIY artist in every sense of the word. Not only does he write, produce and master his music, but he conceptualizes and directs his visuals. He even taught himself how to create 8-bit animations specifically for his Glitchcraft project.
Throughout the album's release rollout, Glass Battles has established four identities: The Protector, The Tempter, The Witch and The Empath. Each song on Glitchcraft corresponds with one of the identities. After the album's release, Sean is taking the world of Glitchcraft and translating it into a video game.
