Flamingo Estate - Cactus Cowboy Candle
Flamingo Estate Cactus Cowboy (LIMITED EDITION): The Estate and its neighboring areas — including Highland Park, Eagle Rock, Glendale, and Glassell Park — were once part of Rancho San Rafael, a vast Spanish land grant given to José María Verdugo, a Californio soldier-turned-rancher: the original Cactus Cowboy. Verdugo was a man who lived on his own terms, with his own style. His was a horseback life of cattle drives, citrus orchards, and wide-open land. He was the first of many gentlemen to ride these hills — men with rough hands and soft hearts.
The limited-edition Cactus Cowboy candle is reminiscent of the green leaves of California, hay, sandalwood, leather, and tobacco. Its a blend of sweat, saddle, dust, and sun-baked cactus flowers; a tribute to the cowboys of Flamingo Estate, past and present. You can still find Cactus Cowboys riding around L.A. Gone are the horses and saddles (Harvey’s dad Donald drives a classic Mercedes with the license plate: Beverly Hills Cowboy), but what remains is unmistakable: the freedom that comes with confidence.
