"Such an off putting medicinal smell. I could not detect any of the listed notes at all. I gave it to my trash can. Just awful."

DS & Durga Winter Solstice Pine Candle: Silent northern night where dark pines stand in snow & sing bracing green music for all who will listen. The bright cold moon season reveals a special time for the earth every year at the Holidays. All can feel it in the rush to commune with something larger than themselves. It's been a few hundred years now where we associate the season with conifers, fresh pines, spices and holy ambers. One light of this candle is guaranteed to open the neural pathways to the joy of the Holidays. Top Notes: snow-on-pine. Heart Notes: fir balsam, dark woods. Base Notes: amber.
Amber Antiquity: DS & Durga Holiday campaign highlights the flowering of esoteric wisdom in the late 19th and early 20th Century – an era when Eastern & Western mystical traditions collided to influence the arts and the world at large. Candles, fragrances, and graphics delve into Yuletide traditions, ancient materials, and sumptuous feasts full of festive joy. The holidays are a time to gather, reflect, & celebrate. Fragrance, like music, is a valuable helper for all of these traditions.
DS & Durga believes the power of scent is equal to that of sight and sound. A great perfume is a keyhole into another realm; an invisible landscape that you can enter and explore any time. Candles are made from soy-vegetable wax and use a cotton wick. Glasses candle vessels are meant to be reused and repurposed.
Candle Care
First Burn
- Allow wax to melt to the full edge of the vessel before extinguishing
- Burn for at least 2 hours on first use
- This prevents tunneling and sets the candle's memory
Every Burn
- Trim the wick to ¼ inch before each lighting
- Never burn longer than 4 hours at a time
- Keep away from drafts, vents, and moving air
When Not in Use
- Replace the lid or cover to protect from dust
- Store away from direct sunlight — UV fades fragrance and finish
- Discontinue use when ¼ inch of wax remains at the bottom

"The candle has zero throw and up close it has a strong medicinal smell that is so off putting to my nose. This was a big no from me."
